Google maps traffic charleston sc

Which is the real issue with traffic IMO, you'll have this small stretch that is gridlocked for apparently no reason, followed by clear roads. When data is limited, they utilize additional algorithms to estimate traffic patterns and congestion.Īlso, if you zoom in on the maps, you'll see more specific data, since if your zoomed way far out, you're not going to see some of the smaller red and yellow pockets of traffic on the map. Add in tons of math that is way over my head, and you get pretty damn good information most of the time. Since they haven't added Waze inputting functions to GMaps Android app yet, I still use the Waze app separately on occasion too.Īnd just in case people didn't know this, Google is able to collect and make these metrics based on data that is provided by other Android devices on these roads (GPS, wifi, and other positioning data). Google actually acquired Waze, and all of their traffic information is available (and integrated) in real time with Google Maps. It's also a ridiculously accurate GPS that has yet to get me lost (as I look angrily at VZ Navigator.) whatever you see and it will warn you when stuff is coming up.
